Subject:Song Volume

Hey, I'm not sure how to do this. I have a song that i want to play at a certain volume at one point, then decrescendo a bit (without a sudden DROP of sound), and then eventually crescendo at the end... What I basically don't want is a sudden SPIKE or DROP in volume but instead a gentle decrease and increase.

Any ideas?

if you have SF7 you can easily add a volume envelope by pressing V after you've opened the wave file. then you can add points and control your envelope with them.

If you have a version before 7, you can select the whole file and use graphical fade... which is the same but a bit clunky to work with.
