I have similar problems with my m-audio ozone USB ACID 4.0f running on mobile athlon XP 2400+ 512ddr, WinXP home (my integrated soundcard is soundmax) whenever I try playing a sequence, after some minutes it starts freezing and "fuzzing" ... if I'can't solve the problem the next year I'll throw away ACID... and I'll buy a MAC running Ableton Live, for midi recording I'm thinking about using Garageband, that well covers some features for now only appearance of ACID... I get that "freeze & fuzz" every now [moreso] and then during playback. I'm using a Layla24 PCMCIA soundcard with the PureWave driver [set at 16-bit/44.1k] on a Sony Vaio PCG-GR300 laptop with a Glyph M∙Project 120gb FireWire HDD. The problem appears to be specific to ACID Pro 4.0f (though I believe it happened in 4.0e as well); I have not encountered this issue in Sound Forge 6.0e, CD Architect 5.0a, or SAWStudioLite 3.7b. Hope the ACID Pro 5 update (assuming one is forthcoming) zaps this prob. Mike E. Dee |

I've the same problem running Ableton Live 2.0 using the ASIO drivers of the Ozone with a buffer size of 512 or 768 samples. I'm going to hate my laptop!!! Now I'm going to format the HD then I'll perform a complete system reinstall... I hope to solve my problems... |

My problems are not on the "recording side" but on the "playback side" of the question... ...I hear the udio becoming metallic and losing definition... this is the best definition of the matter. I also hear some "fuzzes" of 1 sec (approximatively) in some cases... I'm sad |
