I'm a newbie just starting. I've been going through the online manual which is very helpful (thanks guys). How do I add another track without importing another audio clip. What I mean is very simple. I just want another editing timeline to play around in. If I import 1 audio clip I want 2 tracks to edit it in. |

You can insert empty MIDI tracks but you can’t insert empty audio tracks. Each audio track must be assigned to a file. What are you trying to edit on the 2nd track? i.e., without a file associated with it there is nothing to edit. ~jr |

Lets say I have 1 track. I split it in 2 and want to "play around" with it on a separate track. Is this just stupid? |

Hmmm, I don't know what you mean by "play around"....but, all you need to do is right click on the original track(around the name part) and duplicate this track, then you can do whatever you want to this track and not affect the original. Good luck. luces |
