Effects-how do I activate them? -ACID Product Family

Subject:Effects-how do I activate them? Posted by: rap_attack Date:5/1/2004 7:05:08 AM I am a beginner with Acid Pro and have worked out how to record but I don't seem to have the effects happening. I insert them but I do not hear them. Also the thingo doesn't move when I play back the track. Am I missing something? Would appreciate help!

If so, effects are post recording; they do not come into play during recording. There are a couple ways to implement effects in ACID Pro: At the track level and at the assignable FX level. Track level effects are immediate. Using assignable FX requires you click the mulitpurpose slider to adjust the assignable FX level or add an FX envelope to the track (which automatically sets the assignable FX level to -6.0 dB). I have slide anything that is there and I cannot hear it. The effects I mean. I have recorded and then wanted to put effects and I not getting anywhere. Have I not go the effects in the right folder??? I dunno! At one point I was having problems with another program that I use also. That program had effects too and I couldn't hear them but what I did was overinstall the sound driver and whatever came with it on the same cd. Now it is working fine. I can't remember what I meant by "thingo" but that usually means I don't know what it is called so I say "thingo".
