Subject:Frustrated: can't make a bloody loop

For Chirst sakes, why is it that everytime I save my Mixdown it inserts a tiny blank gap of empty space at the beginning and end of the sound file. I'm trying to use the file for a flash website that I'm creating for a company and the thing wont loop properly because between each loop there is a pause/gap. How can I save the file without SF7 automatically inserting those darn spaces?

Please, I've been hacking away at this for hours and I'm close to calling the tech support lines, but I thought I'd check here first.

Thanks in advance for any help.

~Bart

You could have saved a ton of time by searching this forum using "loops". This is the second most asked question here.

The answer is, that's the nature of MP3 compression, don't save as MP3. If you have the Flash app. load them as waves and Flash will compres them.

Consider using a quicktime file, the gap can thus be avoided.

Furthermore...
MP3 Editor and MP3 Pro 5 can save MP3's without the header and footer files..

Also...

don't know if it can really fix your problem but
goto: http://www.rz.uni-frankfurt.de/~pesch/

and get: http://www.rz.uni-frankfurt.de/~pesch/mp3DirectCut.zip

absolutely free, no installation required

just read the mini html manual (one page !)

1) select area
2) choose edit method (cut,fade,...)
3) save new file
