I just received a 4 CD set of drum loops that I ordered from BetaMonkeymusic.com and I just wanted to share how excellent they are. If you're into Rock, these CD's have a lot of very useful and well-organized loops. I actually bought them from BetaMonkey on eBay. They sell them in collections that are $10 cheaper on eBay than on their web site and they average about $8 a CD! Chris at BetaMonkey runs a one-man operation. He’s the drummer and the president of the company. ;-)

The drum kit is recorded dry in a recording studio an he organizes the loops in subdirectories by tempo and adds lots of alternate beginnings, fills, and endings so its really easy to put a whole song together that sounds great with lots of variation on hit-hat and ride cymbals all from one directory. This is the first loop CD I’ve ever bought so I have nothing to compare it to but I thought it was organized very well.

I’ve been very impressed with these loops in both quality and price so I thought I would pass it along. I have no affiliation with Chris. I was just overwhelmed with the abundance of loops that are available and didn’t know where to start so I thought I would pass along when I found some good ones.

I play keyboards so I’m just looking to fill out the other members of the band. The best thing about using drum loops is that they don’t make noise while you’re trying to talk. (inside band joke for those of you who have played in a live band, with apologies to drummers everywhere) ;-)
