I have a large clip of myself and another actor speaking. I'm basically going to remove all the sound except for the dialogue (and then add in a solid wind-blowing sound effect later) but the problem is when we ARE talking you'll hear some of the wind in the background. Any advice to remove that hissing? Any ideas welcome -- I have time to mess around ;-) --Noah-- |

You will not likely have much luck removing wind noise. Wind noise covers a wide frequency spectrum from high whistling to low frequency pops on the mic. Sorry to say, the best bet is to take pains in the recording process. You could "try" noise gating or expanding.... There is always ADR or a scene re-shoot. |
