Subject:Problem with saving files

What I mostly use Sound Forge for is when I'm in Vegas 4 and I select the option to "Edit in Sound Forge..." So after I do this I mess around with the file and then try to save it. Here's my problem -- It gives me a directory to save it under, but when I try to save it as a certain file name it constantly likes to save as the name SF1000 or something close to that. Why doesn't it let me save it as the name I want it to? And is there a way I can export the sound file from Vegas, edit the file in Sound Forge, and then after I'm done export it directly back to Vegas?

Thanks,
--Noah--

Save it as a Microsoft WAV file instead of a Scott Studio's file.

Also, if you have no use for Scott Studios metadata (if you don't know, you probably don't), you can rename or delete the 'sctplug' folder in the FileIO Plug-Ins folder under the Sound Forge installation folder and it will be removed from the list.

Thanks J.
Good tip for removing the Scott Studios save as clutter.
