What I mostly use Sound Forge for is when I'm in Vegas 4 and I select the option to "Edit in Sound Forge..." So after I do this I mess around with the file and then try to save it. Here's my problem -- It gives me a directory to save it under, but when I try to save it as a certain file name it constantly likes to save as the name SF1000 or something close to that. Why doesn't it let me save it as the name I want it to? And is there a way I can export the sound file from Vegas, edit the file in Sound Forge, and then after I'm done export it directly back to Vegas? Thanks, --Noah-- |

Save it as a Microsoft WAV file instead of a Scott Studio's file. |

Also, if you have no use for Scott Studios metadata (if you don't know, you probably don't), you can rename or delete the 'sctplug' folder in the FileIO Plug-Ins folder under the Sound Forge installation folder and it will be removed from the list. J. |

Thanks J. Good tip for removing the Scott Studios save as clutter. |
