Subject:best way to move files between PC & Mac

I have a project where I will be recording into Acid & doing my sequencing there & then moving my files to another computer (a Mac...uck) where I will be operating in a Pro Tools (LE) environment for mixing down & mastering (& possibly some studio overdubs as well - the guy I will be working with has the space & some really cool outboard gear & better monitoring than I do). What's the best way to move my files between the two? Do I need to render individual tracks as AIFF files or what? Has anyone figured out a quick & easy way to move between the two environments?

I would certainly try rendering out to AIFF. I don't know offhand, but doesn't Pro Tools on a Mac have the ability to work with a file format like WAV anyway?

I know that It can certainly read the wav file, I'm not sure how easily it can edit or manipulate the file, or a batch of them. The guy who owns the Pro Tools set up suggested I do the file conversion(s) first: probably as a time saver. However, he's not real sure how to do this either, as he nas never tried to do this before. I know this will work but I wanted to see if anyone else has ever tried this & what kind of obstacles they encountered that I could possibly avoid. Like, can the Mac actually read the wav files within an acd.zip file? Or should I just individually save each track as its own wav/aiff file, or what? Both the guy that I am working with & myself are kinda strapped for time & the less time I spend dinking around getting my files to work within his rig the better.

You might look into EDL Convert ... you'd have to get the recording into Vegas from Acid first.

Well, I've been considering getting Vegas for some time now - What does the EDL convert actually do? Does it give me the ability to save my tracks individually in a single, cohesive, sequenced file for use in a Mac format? Or does it do something altogether different?
