Creative has a utility for adjusting volume levels and selecting the record input. It sounds like you have it set to “What U Hear”, which will mix all the inputs together. You want to set it to "Microphone". ~jr |

I have an Audigy 2 ZS and in the Audio Preferences, my Audio device type is the SB Audigy 2 ZS ASIO (6000). In the record dialog I just select the Record device as: Mic In L/Mic In R. This doesn’t use the sound applet I was refering to earlier. That is only used when you use the Sound Mapper. (I just realized you’re trying to use the ASIO drivers). ~jr |

That’s odd because you should get a signal using the Creative ASIO driver and “Mic In L/R”. Try it using the Microsoft Sound Mapper and select Microphone in the Audigy sound card applet and it should work. (At least it works that way on my PC) . I’ve never used the Windows classic wave drivers. ~jr |
