Hi All. Just got myself ACID Pro 4.0 and I'm rearin' to go! I've used Acid Music before and have been eager to get Pro for quite some time. However, I just realized that there are no included loop libraries with Pro? Or am I missing something? ANY and ALL suggestions for some general starter loop libraries would be tremendously appreciated. My immediate projects include a dance-pop-techno song and a rap & hip-hop bit. - - - - - - - Also, I just got the "SAMS Teach Yourself ACID 3.0 in 24 Hours" book and saw the reference to "QLoops" by Sonic Foundry. Are those "QLoops" still around? (I really liked the samples from those libraries): Fast Breaks Drum 'n' Bass Phat Trax XXL New York Dance I & II Anyways, Thanks MUCH in advance... |

I believe that if you bought the download version, they should have provided you the option of obtaining a CD full of loops for free (minus a S&H charge). Suggestions for starter loop libraries: ALL of them. (Well, nearly, anyway. Anything that relates to what you're doing will more than likely serve you well.) ;o) Don't know about your other question pertaining to QLoops. I remember seeing them too but don't anymore. Anyone? You might want to check out powerfx.com as well as the sony media loops. Powerfx is the same company as loops-on-demand http://mediasoftware.sonypictures.com/loop_libraries/ondemand.asp?ms=1 Did you check here? http://mediasoftware.sonypictures.com/loop_libraries/default.asp?cid=-1&ms=1 Every library has demo loops. Also http://www.peaceloveproductions.com/ Then start collecting. |

Hi! Actually Sony is now selling these QLoops (aka Starter Loops) under the Sony name. I found both of these Packages at CompUSA. They only have 2 kits available which basically contains all the QLoops you could have purchased through Sonic Foundry. In each pack, there are 3 CD's. I believe the price was $34.99 or $39.99. I would get these before they stop selling them retail! Sorry I should have mentioned that Sony indicated all the QLoops (Starter Loops) are retail items. I believe you could pick them up at any store that sells the Sony Acid products. Sonic Foundry only had 6 QLoops (Starter Loops) in their original line-up for the ACID products. Even though they are "starter" loops, I find them quite good! Good Luck! |
