Wondering if there is a way to change the MOUSE WHEEL default configuration on Sound Forge 6 OR Sound Forge 7. I'd love to make it so that when editing a file, scrolling with the MOUSE WHEEL moves the cursor forward and back, rather than magnifying the wav. I know this can be acheived by holding down the shift key but this extra step still throws me. Since I use the MOUSE WHEEL all the time for navigating, I'd love to change this. Any ideas? Thanks! I'd like to hear an answer for this too, only my preference is just the opposite - I like to use the wheel as the magnifier all the time. It seems to change back and forth on a whim. I know that if is scrolling through the waves, I can make it magnify by holding the Alt key, but then when I push the space bar to play the recording, the stupid Restore/Minimize/Close etc. box opens (the one that opens if you click on the SoundForge logo located in the extreme upper left of the window. Help says: Zoom in horizontally - Rotate the mouse wheel forward. Zoom out horizontally - Rotate the mouse wheel back. Zoom in/out vertically - Ctrl + rotate the mouse wheel forward or back. Scroll left/right 10% of the current view prior. - Shift + rotate the mouse wheel forward or back. But that's not quite what's happening. Thanks, Dan Barnes |

This has been discussed earlier. SoundForge uses its own rules and the mouse driver others. To use SoundForge defaults disable the mouse drivers defaults for SoundForge in the mouse driver. |
