Hey everybody, I am trying to get opinions on a really good Acoustic Guitar VSTi. I would like to get something that is VERY dynamic and subtle, which has a LOT of velocity dynamics and if it has some strumming elements (kind of like the Virtual Guitarist by Steinberg). Obviously string and fret buzz, harmonics, blah, blah, blah. I have taken at look at some of the Native Instrument stuff, but it doesn't appear that ac. guitar is on their priority list. Anyhow, just looking for some direction and advice. Thanks, luceses. |

Maybe you can try SoundFonts with a free VST SoundFont player. |

I have Abstract Guitar and it's rubbish (part of a package deal). I have plucked string from Synapse and it's OK, but nothing exceptional. Another one I'd add to the list would be Slayer (which comes with FL Studio). While it's designed mainly for electric guitar sounds it can do acoustic reasonably well. To get anything like a realistic sound you need to do a lot of dynamics and strum tweaking with control automation. http://www.refx.net/products.htm?lang=eng And you might consider is Knagaelis by Dash. It's a sample-based vsti designed for ethinic plucked instruments, but can do conventonal scales too. Great sounds and good parameter control. http://www.dashsignature.com/ |

Get Revitar from www.cuttermusic.com it's cheap, extremely stable & sounds fantastic - I've used it on lots of things. |
