First off.....WOW! I never knew Acid was so popular. My first exposure, and as it turns out last, was Acid....I think 1.0...maybe 2.0. I received it as a package with the Pinnacle DC1000 video editing card.

Anyway, I played with Acid a bit. I made some songs that have actually survived numerous computer upgrades. Unfortunately, the Acid install CD I had was destroyed in a CD-ROM drive. So, I bought Acid 3.0. Now the problem: I can't play the old songs because Acid3.0 can't find the loops I had used. So the question: where can I get those old loops? Not sure if it was version 1.0 or 2.0. It was purchased...oh...late '99, early 2000ish. AS I mentioned above, I don't have the original CD. I don't have any pieces left. The CD-ROM drive might have some peices left. It doesn't work anymore.:)

Anyway, if anyone can help me out, I would really appreciate it. A google search was not helpful.

Thanks...

Yikes. What did the CD-ROM drive do to your ACID CD?

Maybe you can send any leftover fragments from the CD to Sony for analysis? (I'm kidding. yukyukyuk) :O)

Were you using those samples from the various (what was then) Sonic Foundry loop libraries contained on the ACID CD?

Have you tried contacting customer service? They should be able to help you somehow.

This CD had a small crack in it. In a moment of "lets see what this does" stupidity, I stuck it in to see if I could read anything off it. Well, the disc spun up and then BAM. The disc shattered taking the drive with it.

Yeah, the disc was a Sonic Foundry Acid CD. Not sure which version though. I'll give customer service a try.

Thanks:)
