maybe garo should try actually purchasing acid. then he would get an instruction manual. it's not like you're shelling out $400-$1000 like logic or protools. |

U can build your own metronome track by choosing a snare drum single shot, make a 4-4 4-shots loop, export it and using it as metronome every time you want... this is the solution i've followed... it works. bye |

I don't think anyone has to be rude because I downloaded the Trial Version and am in fact on my second day - And it DOES have a Metronome but it only activates within longer tracks (as a option). I work professionally as a web designer and photographer and havn't a single pirated program on my computer. I have purchased Vegas 4.0e too. But hej, Thanks anyway. Garo |

the only time a metronome will kick on is if you "beatmap" a track with the beatmapping wizard. if you just drop a loop or one shot or even a disk based track into your project that arent beatmapped, there is no metronome. like someone else said, if i were you just make a very simple 4/4 kick in various BPM's and save them as loops to use as metronomes. i have 8 beat kick loops in 5 BPM increments from 80 - 150. i use them all the time for quick "referencing" -marc |

Ok, if you want to split hairs. ACID does not have a "general purpose" metronome. Peter |

if you have fruity loops you can do what i did and make a straightforward beat, then adjust the tempo accordingly whenever you want to use it as a metronome. |
