I know that I need to upgrade my setup that consists of celeron processor, but would that be the reason that I can't send acid created tracks as midi back to my digital recorder (bossbr1180). Acid pro 4.0 to tascam us-122 with midi time clock enabled to recorder. All midi leds on but no sync track created. Do I need to save or render (drumtracks in acid) as something else? ( because I'm just playing the project file when trying to sync to recorder). Roland says to check my cables. Thanks in advance |

Definitely check your cables. I had a similar problem of sending/receiving MIDI once and it was because of a bad MIDI cable. Make sure everything is setup correctly under the MIDI and Sync tabs under Options>Preferences on the menu bar. Are you trying to record MIDI or digital audio from ACID Pro 4.0? thanks, i'm trying to sync an acid project (drum tracks) back to my bossbr1180's rhythm track. According it's manual, it can only be done with midi. |

Hmmm...I've tried finding more info on the BR1180. From what I could glean, I guess you could also import and export WAV's? I couldn't find much on its MIDI functions, other than it has MIDI I/O. Can the BR1180 act as master or slave in a MIDI sync situation? Some devices can do one but not both. Nice little doohickey, BTW. :) Iacobus ------- RodelWorks - Original Music for the Unafraid mD's ACIDplanet Page Guitars 4 Kids |

BR1180 has separate "utilities". Under MIDI, I may choose Master or Off ( I leave off). Under "sync track" (where I want to be) there is no option. So, it's ok to just play Acid file live to interface to recorder? thanks |

I would assume that "Off" means no MIDI sync at all (but I could be wrong). (Note that ACID should preferably be the master in any MIDI sync situation. I'm not quite sure how the importing/exporting WAV's function works on the BR-1180, but it's worth a shot if you can do it. Try rendering out of ACID via File>Render As on the menu bar. (You can choose to render a specific part of the project by placing the Loop Region over the project and using the "render loop region only" option under the Render dialog window.) thanks mD. after further review, midi on digital machine must be only to sync midi clock with sequencer and not with sequencer's performance. Thinking I could send my Acid tracks to it's sync track appears to be wrong. I've upgraded my setup and will change direction, but I appreciate your help. granny |
