Subject:rewire with FL Studio

Hi all,

I am having a bit of a problem. I installed FL Studio and checked yes for the installation of FL as a rewire client. When I open Acid 4 and look in preferences>rewire, FL does not show up. I can open FL as a VSTi but that creates an interesting issue too. Has anyone used FL Studio as a rewire client with Acid 4 and seen this problem?

Next question. When I open FL as a VSTi and put together a drum loop in FL then jump back to Acid 4 and lay in some loop (all starting a 1.1 on the measure meter), when I hit play the Acid loops start playing and then at beat 2 you hear the FL metronome kick on and count 1234 then the FL drum loop starts playing in sync with the Acid loops on beat 3 of the measure. To make everything start at once I have to slide the Acid loops to beat 3 of the measure so that the Acid loops and FL drum loop start at the same time. Anyone seen this one before?

Any help would be appreciated. Do I have to move a .dll extension file to the Acid program folder for Acid to see the FL rewire client option? There is no browse option.

I do this with reason and it works great, so there has to be a way.

If you've already tried this then forgive me, but it sounds like you've left FL in record mode when you switched back to Acid. Click the 'Record' button on FL to take it out of record mode and the playback should be instantaneous.

Have you clicked the button labeled rewire preferences, and put a check next to FLStudio in the rewire section?

If it still doesn't show up I suggest re-installing FLS.
