I just installed Acid SCreenblast. I drag a midi file to the timeline, and when I click PLAY I do not hear anything. I see timeline cursor move, but no sound comes out. Yes, system works, I can preview sounds and songs just fine until I put them on timeline.

I have spent an hour with the stupid SOny manual and help files, but cant seem to make this most basic thing happen. SOmeone PLEEZE HELP ME !!!!

Later edit. I figured out how to getthis working, but am really stumbling. Is there a tutorial (not a manual) somewhere to help me get started?

Go tp acidplanet.com and download the 8 pack. Play with it. Acid is very intuative. Oh yea, read the manual.

I am sure it is very intuitive once I have a clue, whihc is what tutorials are for. SO far, manual has not been helpful, but I am sur eit will be once I get going. I will go to acidplanet and look for 8pack. Thanks.

Try the Quick Tour link at http://mediasoftware.sonypictures.com/Products/ShowProduct.asp?PID=854.

It's for the Screenblast version, but pretty much everything there is in the Pro version as well.

Once you add a track to your project, you must then draw or paint in an event, which is an instance of audio (or MIDI data) that plays back on the timeline.

Click on the Draw Tool or Paint Tool and then click and drag on the timeline next to the respective track.
