Hi Sin,

I had this problem once some time ago. Believe it was caused by my soundcard's drivers (an M-Audio Audiophile 2496) but was rectified in later versions.

I would try uninstalling and then reinstalling my soundcard's drivers first. (Be sure to go through any uninstall routine that's recommended by the manufacturer before reinstalling.) If that doesn't work, consider also uninstalling/reinstalling ACID itself.

Did you try different driver models? (If you were using WDM or Windows Classic, try ASIO or vice versa.)

If that doesn't work, try unchecking the "automatically detect and offset for hardware recording latency" setting on the Audio tab under Options>Preferences and adjust the slider immediately underneath. (1,000 ms = 1 second.)

Might also want to try defragmenting if you haven't done so in awhile.

HTH,
Iacobus
