Subject:Basic question about performing fades

Hi,

I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong but I'm trying to create a fade at the end of a track. With the "draw" function activated, I put the cursor at the upper right hand corner of the track as instructed and wait for it to change to a square containing a quarter circle but it changes to something looking more like a spiral bound notebook with the spiral on the right hand side. Right clicking displays "cut", "copy", "delete", etc. instead of the choice of fade patterns that I should be seeing.

I've gotten the correct results before but not now. As you might guess I'm new to this but its getting pretty frustrating. Have I activated some setting/function that is interfering with things?

Closing/re-opening the application, starting a new project and re-importing the audio doesn't help.

A solution/explanation would truly be appreciated.

Thanks,

Sasha

Why not just use a volume envelope ? Much easier IMHO

If you're using ACID Pro 4.0, you can insert a volume envelope for the Master bus.

Hit U on your keyboard, and then insert a volume envelope in the bus tracks window for the Master bus like you would for any other individual track.
