Hi, Is anyone using the m-audio firewire 410 audio interface with a laptop and sound forge? I'd love to hear about your experiences. Thanks, Dennis Hopson |

I don't have the FireWire 410, but there shouldn't be any reason why you would have a problem. Be sure to pick up the FireWire 410's manual to make sure any issues you may have are covered. HTH, Iacobus ------- RodelWorks - Original Music for the Unafraid mD's ACIDplanet Page |

Thanks for the reply EdMLL....I've decided to use a more simple setup right now.....the edirol UA-1D. I just feed a digital stream from my DAT deck for live recordings and go with that. M-audio now has an Audiophile Firewire interface that I'm more interested in. Seems to be a bit more practical for me than the 410 and a bit cheaper. I just hope the driver situation is a bit better. I have a few friends using the 410 and they report the drivers to still be a little "bug-y"...but then again they are using them with a mac. I am still impressed with M-audio's gear though. Now...if I can just learn to use sound forge and disc architect effeciently for my daily recording and mastering routine, I'll be great (I record and master about 300 cd's a year!). Thanks dwh |
