Same thing happend to me. All of a sudden it was acting up more than a redheaded stepchild. I reinstalled and it's better now. We did have a virus at work though, which may have screwed with ACID. Is there an ACID virus roaming around? |

Hmm, 3 theories: 1. WinXP is borked. Bork bork bork Swedish Chef borked. It happens. Reinstall XP (w/o the ol' disk format, hehe, that can be bad.) Not too likely, but eh, I'm dealing with a bad XP install right now, so it popped into my head. 2. ASIO + ACID = Trouble. The ASIO drivers for various devices get seriously wonky with ACID. My mBox (DON"T BUY ONE) crashes ACID about 50% of the time. Did the ASIO drivers for your mAudio box get updated recently? 3. Video drivers. Tri-headed system? HOW THE HELL DID YOU DO THAT!?! Three video cards can't be good for your PCI bus (or an AGP and a PCI card...ouch). Try rolling back the drivers a week (or however long.) I mean, seriously, 3 monitors!?! I'm half jealous, half scared. Check your ACID video settings, the screen draw method, etc. There is a lot of discussion on getting ACID to run with funky video. Are the cards identical, is one dual headed, one single? Different cards means you compound any problems. Heck, move the ACID window to a different monitor (therefore a different card is rendering it) and see what happens. |

re: MBox Why wouldn't you buy one, out of idle curiousity? I've been looking at picking one up soon... David. |
