Your should update to the latest version of ACID- 4.0f. This is available for download (Click the download buton on this page.)

Also make sure you have the latest driver set from Creative for the Sound Blaster Live! Platinum. ACID had some issue with the older drivers from Creative.

Thnx Peter for the solution.

I did remove my soundcrad and drivers. Now vs 4.0 a runs without a playback error, but while using the chopper the program hangs.

Running the 4.0f vs does not run at all. I will try a newer soundcard this week and will test everything again. I think a good asio driver will help?

I updated vs 4.0f and installed SB Audigy2 XS.
Now vs 4.0f even start up at all !

Error report is:
Appname: acid 40.exe
Apllvs: 4.0.0.446
Modname: sfdlsssynth.dll
ModVer: 1.0.0.80
Offset: 00004170

Make absolutely sure that the previous drivers were completely uninstalled.

Is there any way to install just what you need as far as making your Audigy 2 functional? (There's usually an option to customize the install rather than letting the installer do it all for you.) Don't install anything extra.

You may have to resort to a brute force method and format your system; Creative is notorious for Registry bloating, even after the drivers and related were uninstalled.

This indicates that you do not have the latest version of DirectX runtime installed. You need to update to this.

DirectX 9.0b SDK Summer Update is installed and runs OK.

The sorce of the proble is DirectX or ASIO, but do not have the solution for the playback error. I don not understand, because Vegas and Sound Forge 7 runs perfect.
