Subject:newbie wanting to make song, but dosen't know how

i'm a newbie to acid xpress 3.0. and i really want to make a song. but i don't know how to put the beats, bass, sound effects, and other effects onto the track. how do i? i already tried to look in the help section, but it's too confusing.

you are lazy.

read the help section or the book that came with it.

this is the easiest program in creation.

come on bro'...thats like saying..."hi guys, i just bought Cubase SX, can somebody tell me how to use it?"

Browse the loops in the explorer window and when you find one you like, double clic on it. You'll see a track show up with that loop's name. To the right is the "timeline" to add the loops where you want them. To do that you paint the loops in by placing the cursor on the track, holding down the left mouse button and dragging towards the right. Do this wherever you want that particular sound to come into the project. Repeat for other loops.

Adding to what MyST mentioned, an instance where a particular loop plays on the timeline is called an "event". Events can be the entire loop or just a portion of the loop that plays back.
