I have talked with alot of people and they all feel that this would be a great addition to acid.
So here it is:
-VST plugin or built-in feature that has a pattern(step) sequencer similar to the pattern window in FL Studio
-just like in fl studio ability to add and remove pattern channels
- route each pattern channel through different effects
- swich between piano roll and pattern mode
- control basic parameters for each pattern channel
- easy sample explorer
- ONE BUTTON TO PREVIEW THE LOOP
- SECOND BUTTON THAT WILL SAVE THE LOOP AS ACIDIZED WAV INTO THE PROJECT PATH AND AUTOMATICALLY INSERT THE NEW LOOP INTO A NEW CHANNEL IN ACID.
:)
I put the last two in capitals because they are the most important. I know that FL studio can be run as a vst plugin but:
-you must switch to fl from acid
-you get all the other unnecessary functions of fl studio that you won't use
- you must go through a long process of saving the loop into acidized wav
- then you must switch back to acid
- then you must find the loop on your harddrive
- and then finally you can insert it into acid

Acid is an amazing software and having easy and convinient ablity to create loops for it would be perfect.

Please let me know what you think about this. :)

I don't think they will allow for so many things in that thread. I send this to the suggestion place. Hopefully somone will see it.
I am kind of surprised that no one else wants this to happen. I just think it would be cool to have it.

super i don't think anyone wants a pattern sequencer except you. acid is not a drum machine and hopefully won't become one. that's the beauty of rewire and vsti...instead of wishing acid was more like FL, reason, or orion you can just intergrate those apps within acid. just use FL or the redrum in reason.

there are far more usefull things that are needed in acid like the flexibility of multichannel recording, a standard mixer page, or a simple real-time reverse. i always thought acid pro's direction was leaning towards it being a DAW and not a virtual instrument like FL, orion, reason, or storm.

i want acid to stay as it is but having a plugin that allows for doing this would be nice to have.

Isn't FL Studio rewire compatable?

actually FL can operate as a vsti, so this whole topic is moot.
