howdy. i just got acid 4.0 to record vocals and other stuff. anyway, i am able to record, but i cannot hear what i am doing as i am doing it. i know that there is a solution, it is just beyond me. any help would be appreciated. thanks.

check your settings under the Options.

and might i add...all 3 of those albums 0wN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

forum and online tutorials which start in march they deal in all the acid and vegas products

What do you mean exactly? Do you mean that you don't hear the other tracks that have already been recorded? Or do you mean that you don't hear FX applied to the vocal track as you are recording it?

i hear previously recorded tracks... i just can't hear my voice as i am recording. makes things a bit difficult. i checked my soundcard settings and can get my mic to work, just not in acid. again, i am able to record my vocals, i just can't hear it as i go along. thanks again

Monitoring while recording is all dependent on your soundcard or audio interface that you use.

See this KB article for a little more detail.

Soundcards like M-Audio's Audiophile 2496 (and other cards in the Delta line) and Echo's MiaMIDI have internal monitor routing ability.
