Hello Error Solvers,
My new laptop is giving me unexpected problems. While using Acid 4.0f, I received a blue screen error that stated:
____

Process_Has_Locked_Pages
Make sure new hardware or software is properly installed;
Problems Occur: disable or remove any newly installed hardware or software.
To use safe mode to remove or disable components, restart your computer, press F8 select advanced start up options, hit safe mode.
___

when i restarted the computer windows tells me that my computer has recovered from a fatal error and saves the error to the log.

The error first occurred when placing a one shot into a track. The second time it happened i was writing midi notes. I only had one softsynth open and 12 audio tracks.

I'd like to note that I installed the Midiman Oxygen 8 keyboard the day prior to these errors. Could this be the reason why this is happening? Should I uninstall the Oxy 8? Has anyone else experienced this problem? Can anyone share ideas?

Thanks in advance.

couple suggestions...

1. update drivers for your oxy. 8
2. un-install and re-install acid
3. update your windows

sounds to me like a simple software conflict which these suggestions should take care of.

Only kernel drivers and/or services can cause a BSOD as you decribe. ACID does not install any kernel drivers or services, so there is nothing that is part of ACID that can cause BSOD errors.

Since the problem started occuring AFTER you installed the Oxygen 8 drivers, that is most likely your culprit.

Check to see if your laptop has a Via chipset.
I was getting similar problems after pluging in my M-Audio UNO. Haven't had any since unplugging it.
I think if you unplug your keyboard for awhile, it'll stop.
