I was wondering if anyone can help... when i record, the sound is not clear, it is fuzzy sounding. I have acid 4 on windows xp, and line in with a 1/8th stereo jack into the sound cards input from an effects pedal.

When i use Ntrack studio, the recording is fine. when i use acid with the same config, it sounds fuzzy. could this be some type of setting in acid that i may need to change?

any help would be great. either reply here or send to sanmancisco@hotmail.com

thanks to all.

Fuzzy as in..?

Could be that ACID is ACIDizing your takes into Beatmapped tracks (though I can't imagine why it would sound fuzzy). Have you tried unchecking "make new track follow project tempo" under the Record dialog?

What's your audio interface?

thank you for responding to my question. and that is a good guess. i did try unchecking what you recommended but didnt work. also messed around with recording latency and interpolation and all that but nothing.

I did find though that when i record in mono, it doesnt sound fuzzy. it sounds ok. guess i could just record in mono and ad effects with plugins instead of having the effects on the effects pedal.

not sure what you meant by audio interface though.

thanks for responding!
