Okay, let's keep it simple. I've got 3 drives C, D & E. For best preferences, which one would you copy your: Loops; Projects . . from the content disk, to. Sorry about the "grammar" I'm knackered from walking around the Video Forum . . me legs are grumbling . . . TIA - Grazie |

The other one.... OK. Use one drive for you Operating System, and applications. Organize the other drives for storage. If the drives are big enough, just use one drive for loops. |

As DKeenum mentioned, you'll want to keep apps on one drive and media on another. Preferably, you'll want your system drive (C:) as primary master on the primary IDE channel while keeping your media drive as secondary master or slave on the secondary IDE channel. (If you're using Serial ATA, this is all a moot point.) Don't worry too much if there's a CD-RW or other slower device on the secondary IDE channel along with the media drive; systems are sophisticated enough nowadays to give drives their full potential whether or not they're daisy-chained together. If you're the type that records custom material with ACID projects, you might want to keep everything centralized in a folder on a project-by-project basis.
