ok, you jinxed my setup damnit!!!!! :) (im just playin'!!!!) no, seriously, im having the problem you asked about a week ago. when i have reason rewired to acid, i lose control over my sounds. whats up with that?? i cant audition any sounds in reason and i have no control over running independent modules in reason while its rewired to acid. the only way i can get reason to make noise, is to press play and have it sync with acid. isnt this the same problem you had a week or so ago??? what did you do to fix it?? please oh please help me....im in the middle of a remix that needs to be brought to a studio by 9 am tom. morning!!!!!! AAAAAHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!! -marc |

Marc! So sorry to hear this. I didn't do anything overt to fix the problem. I probably did a defrag at some time in there, but I can't think of any adjustments I made. Have you made any progress? If not, I'll work on it on my end. I understand deadlines. I think that is the only yime I have serious technical difficulties. |

YEAH, ITS CALLED MURPHY'S LAW!!!!!! :) i cant figure this one out, short of un-installing and re-installing both apps, i have yet to figure the problem out. its gonna be such a pain in the arse if i have to un-install and re-install. i have sooo many diff folders and directories that i made under each program, to make things easier for myself....AAAAHHHH, i hate computers!!! i knew i shoulda been a dentist!! thanks for your help though, lemme know if you figure anything out. --marc |

OK, I know I'm grasping at straws here, but let me be simplistic. Open Acid, insert a midi track, select rewire device (I do l/r), click on sub mixer for rewire and open reason from within that window (sub mixer). I hope I'm not adding to your frustrations. |

Has either of you checked to see if 'Enabled Real-time MIDI' is selected under the Options menu? I'm not sure that this applies to rewire, but it does keep the audio engine running even when you aren't playing back. Could this be a workaround for your troubles? |
