Does any version of Sound Forge support ASIO? And if not is there any plan to include it in future releases?

Sound Forge is a two track/stereo audio editor not a multi-track recorder, therefore since ASIO drivers are for low latency, there is no need for it to support ASIO. Many ASIO drivers are non-multiclient so it could present problems running an ASIO multi-track app. and Sound Forge simultaneously which is often necessary.

It would just be nice to play it back through my MBox like every other APP I have like ACID, WAVELAB instead of having to run through my PC soundcard and then having to mix the signals to my poweramp.I know I could use the Wavedriver but it sucks,I've tried it.

I've seen similar discussions on this forum and Sound Forge maybe having a need for ASIO. I'm gonna take a guess and say it may be in the works for the next version. I can see a need for it when using Sound Forge for mastering. Currently when doing mastering, my original audio source usually comes off of CDR or DAT and I do a lot of the processing through my TC Finalizer, and then record that directly into Sound Forge and then do additional processing within Sound Forge. Thus, a 2 step process that can't be monitored at the same time. It would be nice to have the original audio in Sound Forge, play that back. Then have the signal fed to my external hardware, along with the plugin chainer in Sound Forge and be able to directly record back into Sound Forge while I'm playing the file back and also be able to monitor the plugins and external hardware at the same time, instead of in seperate processes. Of course I could do that now, but I would be limited to putting the plugins before the external hardware processing and also have to have an external mixing board. But if I had ASIO and an Input monitoring option, I could have the option of placing the plugins before and after the hardware processing and not even need a mixer to monitor.
