Subject:building peaks???

Hopefully I can explain this so it makes sense. I run my guitar direct through my sound card into ACID 4, and whenever I record over a loop, you can hear the loop in the background of the guitar track. When I play back the tracks, it says "building peaks" and you can hear this weird flanging effect. How can I record my guitar without the backing tracks being audible in the recording?

I'm not sure I understand you but I'll try.........insteed of looping something, just copy and paste how ever much you need untill the time of youir projext is satisfied......I've had that problem where it says bulding peaks and nothing shows up......I just restart my PC and try agian....

Does this KB article help?

The flanging effect may be caused by the rest of the project playing along with the very same project being captured by your recorded track, especially if it's slightly off.
