Subject:Sounds Compressed

After saving my songs as (acd.zip) files, I realized that the sound of the song had changed. The songs sounded compressed, not as big or as clear as the original wav files. I am using Echo Layla sound card. I know that it isn't the sound card because everything sounds good when using my Cakewalk software. Thank you in advance.
