Hey, check out the first full-band project I engineered entirely in Vegas 4. I have posted 2 mp3's at http://www.duke.edu/~rhayes.
Feedback is welcomed.

I only have time for a brief listen. Good work, but there is room for improvement. The first thing I noticed is lack of a cohesive sound. It sounds like a bunch of instruments all recorded separately and stuck out in front of me. It does not sound like a band performing together. Early reflections and reverb will put the sounds in a common space. I generally add effects on indvidual tracks so I can tweak each instrument sound without impacting the others.
Your female vocalist's track is very dead. My guess? a crappy mic. Boosting the EQ somewhere between 2KHz and 3KHz might bring out a little fire, but I think she needs nice mic.
Cymbals have no sustain - again, might be the wrong mic for the job. Try some compression on the symbals to stretch the sound out a little.
I also felt like there was some pumping from too much compression on the master (or a bus) - I try to get almost all my compression taken care of at the track level - no pumping that way. If I compress the master, it is gentle.
There's other stuff too, but in my quick listen those were the biggies.
