How to copy audio effects between tracks?

Hi Folks,

I'm a newbie to Vegas and I've posted this one in Vegas video. I figured I might try it here, too.

I got this perfect audio effects (plug-ins, the works...) on audio track 1 which I want to apply to audio track 2. I accomplish this by writing down the effects settings in track 1 and manually setting them in track 2. Dumb me, I know. But I'm just learning. Please suggest.

Thanks for your patience.

Right click on the track header and choose 'duplicate track'.

on the new track, right-click on the first audio event and choose 'select events to end'

hit the delete on your keyboard to delete the selected events.

drag your new media onto the new track.

This is the quickest way. You can also save presest on the individual audio plugins, create a new audio track, load the plugins and then choose the saved presets - but it is a rather long winded approach in comparison.

Actually a faster way is to save the chain of plugins on a track and then load that saved chain onto any other track.

Do a search in the help file on

"Creating and Using Effects Packages"

This will walk you through it better than I can explain here.
