Subject:Assignable FX , is this a Bug?
Date:2/2/2004 6:59:45 PM

First Off , if this has been asked before, please pardon my post.

I recently discovered a new way to mix and started to impliment my new found knowledge on one of my ACID projects. (are you wondering what my new found knowledge is? I "Discovered" (Loud Homer DOH!!) that you can actually route your Busses thru the Assignable effects. So i chose to eliminate busses i wasnt using and wittle it down to about 14 busses. I already had 8 Effects Busses in the project before i started deleting busses. I remeber there was a problem with Acid 3.0 when the number of busses verse Effects Busses was uneven, Acid would not match up the Busses Correctly.

I am having a similar problem with the Effects Busses (assignable Effects), in that, if i have a BUS D that has my Cymbals on it and i want it to be routed thru the Cymbals Effects Chain(Assignable Effects for the Cymbals) i Click the Square on the Assignable Effects, change it to D and all should be Well?

well it's not, i either get no feed into the Effects Chain or the Wrong one seems to be routing itself to the Effects Chain.? Is this POssible? i double checked my work and tried to make sure every thing lines up and it does.

So i am Asking? Is this a Bug in Version 4.0F? is this the same problem like there was in 3.0D? Is there a work around or an article i could use/read? thanks in advance

Because, silly, how's ACID supposed to know what track you want to route assignable FX through unless you turn up its corresponding assignable FX level? ;o)

Seriously, glad to hear you got it worked out though.
