Subject:Burning full album Posted by: onlywayout Date:1/31/2004 2:43:51 PM Please help I'm doing some editing on a studio mastercd. I extracted the full master cd, created regions and then edited the recording. I need to write the entire file back to cd. When i burn cd and close the cd, it burns as one track. I need to be able to burn the cd as 6 tracks. Need to know how to do this. These tracks run back to back without gaps in the music, that is why i can't separate the tracks, because i think it will burn with a 2 second gap. I figured by extracting the entire cd and creating the regions, i would be able to burn back to cd the right way. Please Help Thanks Only Way Out

You can use Sound Forge to extract the regions to separate .wav files, then use something like Nero, EZ CD Creator, Vegas, CD Architect, etc. to burn a disk in Disk-At-Once mode. This will create separate tracks without any gap between them.

I use Sound Forge 6e and since discovering that you cannot save mettadata and do a dao properly, I've had great success with that software. It beats Roxio by miles. You can in Nero do a DAO with a space between each file on part of a disc (2 seconds is default) and having files seg (or mix) on other parts of the sanme disc. You can also include text on a cda disc (usually only MP3's include this text in my experience). Nero also will "normalize" the files on a disc very effectlively. I have produced multiple files for a burn in Sound Forge and using a slight normalizing level in Nero i achive a perfect CD. I really can't say enough good things about Nero. It is not as simple to use as Roxio E-Z CD creator but after one becomes comfortable with the software (and it isn't that difficult to learn), it is much more flexible. Check out Nero's web site for more info about their products. You'll be happy you did. I know i am.
