I have a VOB file created by MyDVD (software bundled with Pioneer DVD RW). I was able to recapture the image into Vegas Video 4 by rename it to mpg file. However, the audio (ac3) was lost. How can I recapture the audio file? |

You'll need to rip the audio from the vob as a seperate step - you can do this with DVD2AVI |

DVD Decrypter is a far better way of doing this. Go download it at http://www.dvddecrypter.com/ Make sure you are in IFO mode with Stream processing enabled. Then you will be able to extract anything you like from the DVD. Movie files end up as M2V, audio ends up as whatever is there. Another one for getting Audio only off the disc is DVD-Audio ripper. It is very badly misleading in it's name, as it does not rip DVD-Audio (this is so far impossible), but rips Audio from DVD-Video. It will rip to either Dolby Digital (AC3) or WAV. I cannot remember the URL, but the app is by ImToo, and a google search will find it. |
