Subject:how do I get my comp to recognize my keyboard? Do I need a driver?

If anyone knows how to get a driver, or whatever I need to do to get my computer to recognize my keyboard so i can record music with it in Acid Pro, please let me know. |

There are two options you can use to record audio in ACID Pro: MIDI and digital audio. Do you want to record the sounds your keyboard actually produces? You'll want to record digital audio. To do that, you'll have to connect whatever hardware output is provided on your keyboard to your soundcard's hardware input. Typically, keyboards come with 1/4" mono outs. And typical Sound Blaster and compatible soundcards come with an 1/8" stereo minijack in. So you'd have to pick up an adapter cable of some sort like this one from Hosa. Once you get the right connections going, it's just a matter of selecting the desired hardware input for recording.
