I recently purchased and installed Screenblast Acid 4.0. My use will be primarily to create mixes to be added to Video editing projects in Screenblast Movie Factory. When I installed and registered the product I received a catalogue from Sony that advertised various loops etc that could be purchased for use with Acid. I went to the site that supposedly allowed one to listen to and receive emails of offers. The site was Power FX. In browsing the site they talked about a Sound Shuttle which according to them would make the browsing and sampling of available to purchase sound loops etc. I figured for $19.00 how could one go wrong. So I purchased and installed it. They called it a plug in for Acid. First of all when I installed it, there is no where on my PC where I can see it. I wrote back to Power FX and the told me to install it as a softsynth. And that it would work in Acid. They then said to press the "softsynth" button in Acid and browse my way to where I installed SoundShuttle and that I was all set. I cannot find the softsynth button in Acid 4.0. Am I missing something here? All I want to do is use SoundShuttle to listen to samples and mark them for future purchase. |

Contact Power FX and tell them that you have screenblast acid. I'm pretty sure screenblast does not have VSTi (softsynth) support. You can still buy loops from Power FX but the SoundShuttle will not work. I would think that you could work out something with them. BTW, check out sony media's loop CDs, and Peace Love Productions. |

Indeed, Screenblast ACID 4.0 does not have VSTi support; only ACID Pro 4.0 does. HTH, Iacobus ------- RodelWorks - Original Music for the Unafraid mD's ACIDplanet Page |
