Subject:Acid 4.0 midi input/output issue

Im using an Asio driver for my vst instruments and an external midi keyboard
for the input, I have a Sound Blaster Audigy card. For some reason it works fine until I press record and then the midi channel cuts off. The only way it works again is if I turn my keyboard on and off and then it works again. But, then I do that and it starts recording, the midi channel cuts off again and I have to turn my keyboard on and off for it to work. I got it to work past the intitial recording window by turning the monitoring box off, but when I press start the midi channel cuts off and I get no output until I turn the keyboard on and off! I have no latency problems or anything of the sort, this little problem bugs me.

Help!...this is getting old.

What type of external MIDI keyboard are you using?
Are you using the MIDI input on the Audigy or another MIDI interface?

What version of ACID are you using? 4.0, 4.0a-d all had nasty problems, particularly with midi and recording. The latest version is 4.0f. If you're already using 4.0e or f, try reinstalling. Update/reinstall your soundcard's driver. If the fault occured since changing driver, roll bak to the old one and see if the problem is still there. Replace the midi cable. It does sound like an ACID/driver bug or faulty installation to me, though.

While recording, try jiggling your MIDI keyboard's pitch bend wheel a bit and then try pressing a key.
