Subject:Vegas + WAV Maximum Filelength

I have a 4 hour recording (16 Bit, Stereo WAV, 48 kHz) which I wanted to load into Vegas, but fails with an error (nothing specified). Why does that happen ?
Is vegas restricted in file-length or so ?

This depends on the OS and File format you are using.
FAT32 gives you an upper limit of 4Gb, and a WAV file is limited to 2Gb.
If you need larger, use either WAV64 or Broadcast wave, or AIFF.
NTFS file system also gives unlimited filesize.

I'm using NTFS already, mainly cause of the 4gb limitation in fat32 you just stated. How do I convert my 4 hour wav now to WAV64, Broadcast Wave or AIFF so that I can use it in Vegas ?

What did you use to create the original file?
