I have a 4 hour recording (16 Bit, Stereo WAV, 48 kHz) which I wanted to load into Vegas, but fails with an error (nothing specified). Why does that happen ? Is vegas restricted in file-length or so ? |

This depends on the OS and File format you are using. FAT32 gives you an upper limit of 4Gb, and a WAV file is limited to 2Gb. If you need larger, use either WAV64 or Broadcast wave, or AIFF. NTFS file system also gives unlimited filesize. |

I'm using NTFS already, mainly cause of the 4gb limitation in fat32 you just stated. How do I convert my 4 hour wav now to WAV64, Broadcast Wave or AIFF so that I can use it in Vegas ? |

What did you use to create the original file? BTW - feel free to email me offlist, as I don't get into this forum very often. info@opusproductions.com |
