Subject:Pitch Shift problem?

Hey everybody,

I’m having a problem getting the pitch shift to work on acid 4.0 pro. I noticed when I record my voice via microphone (SoundBlaster live sound card) it records fine. Then when I right click on the file to shift the pitch the options are grayed out. I downloaded some samples off the internet just so see if I could shift the pitch on those files and it worked just fine. Do the record settings have to be a specific way in order for it to work?

if the voice sample is loaded in as a Beatmapped track, rather than a Loop or One-Shot, then be sure to check if you have set the correct pitch options. you can set it by going to the Properties of the track and checking the "Preserve pitch when stretching" option in the General tab.

ok thanks, i figured it out. I had the "beatmapped track" option checked in the record dialog box.
