I have Acid Music 3 and recently bought a copy of ACID Pro 4.0. There's a tab in the lower left of the application that's titled "ACID FX," which I used a lot. I don't see it in 4.0. Is is there? Where? Thanks! Rick |

Where do you want to apply FX? At the track level or assign different tracks to the same FX? You can apply track level FX by clicking the Track FX button for the respective track in the track list. You can also add assignable FX by clicking the Insert FX button in the Mixer and then route your tracks by using the multipurpose fader in the track list. (There's also the subject of envelopes, but that's an animal of a different stripe.) HTH, Iacobus ------- RodelWorks - Original Music for the Unafraid mD's ACIDplanet Page |

There have been others who have poste the same problem, and the answer is this: "Acid FX" are built in effects for Acid "Music" 3.0. Acid Pro supports external plugins, and so does not have "Acid FX" as part of its interface. So when you open a non-Pro 3.0 file in Pro, it reads the presence of "Acid FX" usage, but gives an error message because it doesn't know what "Acid FX" are. Remember, "Acid FX" are not separate plugins -- they are part of Music 3.0. In your situation, you have the original song without any FX, since 3.0 doesn't support DX plugins. Your only two options are to continue working with old files in 3.0 (Don't save in Pro 4, cuz then you can't go back) or re-apply DX equivalents in Pro. |
