That's pretty much it.Just beatmap the original song when you add it to the track. If you want to add music loops to it you will have to define a key for the original track. That means you have to figure out what key the original song is in.You then asign that key to that track under properties. Then you assign that key to the project.Once you do these things anything is possible.Good luck |

You will have to get Loops from somewhere. You can buy them online at the Sony web site, just click PRODUCTS at the top of this page and look for Loops for Acid. There are also many other loops available I suggest EBAY. |

Which version of ACID do you have? ACID Pro 3.0 and 4.0 users get access to exclusive loop content (royalty-free) not available otherwise via the Get Media feature. There are also the contests at ACIDplanet. PLEASE NOTE: You do not want to use the loops provided in ACIDplanet's contests other than for a remix entry. You cannot use them elsewhere otherwise. There's also the free 8Packs available each week at ACIDplanet. Sometimes, some artists also sponsor their own remix contest, so keep an eye out on your favorite artists via their Web sites. Hmm under my help tab there is nothing saying register? Thanks for your interest in our ACID PRO Get Media content! When you registered ACID, you did so without providing us any of your contact information. To get FREE loops and more, select Register ACID under the Help menu. Choose Register with Contact Information and fill out the form completely. Thank you, and enjoy! |

Do exactly as the instructions say. If there's no "Register ACID" menu item, consider completely uninstalling and then reinstalling ACID and provide any necessary contact info when launching ACID for the first time. Once you do that, you should have the free content available via the Get Media button on the toolbar. For the ACIDplanet contest question: When an ACIDplanet contest is started and loops are provided, the loops are copyrighted by the artist and/or label that provided them. You can only use these provided loops legally within the contest and not outside the contest, even after the contest is over. Just to be thorough, any loops that you provided/contributed to the contest belong to you. For example, if you recorded any content for a particular entry, that content is still yours to do with whatever you wish. However, note that the entry itself belongs to the artist/label that sponsors the contest. There are some contests, like the annual Electronoel contest, that don't have any provided loops. Again, the custom content you provide is yours, but the entry itself belongs to Sony. (When you enter, you basically agree to sign off any rights to Sony Pictures Digital, and they're free to do whatever they want with it, even if the entry doesn't win. This is usually the case with many remix contests.) HTH, Iacobus ------- RodelWorks - Original Music for the Unafraid mD's ACIDplanet Page |

Bizarre to say the least. It should ask you to register with different options of registering (like over the Internet or through the telephone). Definitely send and email buzz to customer service. They should be able to help you out. HTH, Iacobus ------- RodelWorks - Original Music for the Unafraid mD's ACIDplanet Page |

no offense, but i gotta ask... is this a pirated version of acid?? (downlaoded off kazaa or friend gave it to you or something??) you said that you "downloaded the demo then "got" a serial #." ????? hmmmmm....????? sounds weird. if you download the demo, it will ask you to run in it "demo" mode. the only way you can get a serial # to make it the FULL "PRO" version, is to buy it!! and seeing that its not taking your computer id is making me a little suspicious. serial #'s are generated by a comb. of a computers id # a security code built into a serial # generator for a program. like i said, IF IT IS LEGIT, i sincerely apologize, im not accusing you of anything, it just seems a little suspicious!??!!!?? |

Yes, i have been using the demo for a while now and i wanted the full but didnt wanna pay like $400 so a friend suggested i try ebay, so i got the acid from ebay for christmas... it was in the box, but unsealed but it had the disc and the serial # written on the inside of the cd case and I think it was a legit cd..., it was dirt cheap. but i dont believe it came with the comp id:.. so i dont kno if i got ripped off or not. but like i said earlier im not sure of any of the things i got. i dont even know if my comp id: # is even the correct comp id... so i sincerly dont kno if its legit or not... all i wanna do is jus remix some music for my own personal use. |

Why don't you contact Sony and see if you can work something out. BTW, I've seen legit copies of ACID Pro being sold for $150 (ie. zzounds and musician's friend). |

i dont condone what you did, but i understand. it is an expensive program, but maybe you should have stuck with like acid music or something. (i think its called screenblast acid now) it is MUCH cheaper. i think like 50 bux or something. and it has ALMOST all of the same features as acid pro. for a beginner just "learning the ropes" it will suit you fine. and for furthere reference, i would try to stay away from buying programs like you did. it is very risky, you have a good chance of getting viruses and/or ripped off. (like it seems like you possibly did) you can also end up getting in a lot of trouble. but, dont worry...i wont tell!! :) just be careful. technically its considered stealing. you might want to send an e-mail to sony tech support see if they can help you out getting a legit serial # or something. you might have to pay some $$ though. good luck -marc |

Az, be sure to contact Sony as marc mentioned. (You can get to customer support via my earlier post.) As long as you're honest, I'm sure they can help out somehow to see if your copy is legit. HTH, Iacobus ------- RodelWorks - Original Music for the Unafraid mD's ACIDplanet Page |
