Subject:Bass track slows down

Hi All,

I'm recording a bass track *direct* into my laptop, the same way I recorded all my other parts on a song and for some reason the track is slowing down. By this I mean that the part seems to start out right and then falls out of synch, getting progressively slower. I haven't had this problem with any other instruments. I figured it was my POD at first and then just went direct and it *still* slows down. Any ideas what's doing this?

Thanks!

Rick

What kind of track does ACID turn the recorded take into—Loop, One-shot or Beatmapped?

It's beatmapped.

Guys/Gals.

Hmm. Not having that problem today. I bet my RAM was maxed out and needed a reboot. Has anyone else had strange stuff happen after they tax their RAM, that goes away on reboot?

A lot of problems can be fixed by rebooting/restarting, yes. It might also depend on what's running in the background or what might be still resident in memory even after you exit another app.

Is your RAM generic? I've noticed that sometimes people have problems when using generic RAM rather than a particular brand.
