ok, say i wanna add a wav file into a project, but instead of pitch shifting it with the plus and minus button, can i use my Oxygen 8 to play the exact notes i want that wav sound to make? if not are there any vst i can use to do this?

also, can i record using a WAV sound like i do with a midi VST sound.

if anyone can help it would be much apreciated because pitch shifting is really annoying.

thanks,
Lou

in a way, YES you can record like that. i use the oxygen 8 also.
if you are using a sound blaster card...
1. set the card to record "what you hear"
2. as you use your vst synth plug in, even though it is playing a midi signal, it will be recorded as its .WAV mirror image. (make sure you have the recording dialog set to record "audio" not "midi)

so, whatever key you play, as a midi signal, it will be recorded as a .WAV you should set its "acid" properties though, so that acid knows the original key in case you need to change it later.

Waht your talking about sounds more like the function of a sampler. There are VSTi samplers.
