AVI error from Quickstream DV

Hello, I am getting a really odd error in Vegas. I am taking a clip from a DVX100 that was recorded on a Quickstream DV direct to disk recorder, when I import it IT detects the pulldown (24pA) but it grabs an error off the audio and cant build the peaks. I tried the file in PP, AVID etc. and the file works fine.. any ideas?

What disk recorder? Have you copied the clip to a local drive?
Jarred Land wrote on 1/12/2004, 9:18 AM
yes I have copied it to a local drive. I am talking about the http://www.mcetech.com/quickstreamdv.html

It has the same firmware as the CitiDisk.

Every other NLE will open the file and edit no problem, Vegas will error on the Audio peaks, and then when I try to render it crashes.

No problem with proxies with files captured from the DVX100 over 1394?

yes no problems at all. Do you have an email address I can send you a 2 second sample clip so you can take a look at it?

Zoomforce:

SonyEPM has sent you email.

The AVI file has some incorrect data in it which confuses our peak generation. We have fixed the code so that future versions of our applications won't get tripped up on the bogus data.
