Hi all,

Doing some recording, and only have one good mic; I would want to record my guitar backing, then record vocals onto the same track whilst listening to it (ostensibly to stay in tune and time with the guitar backings). WHat is the best way to do this in SF6, and how do I do this?

Otherwise, I can play the file back using winamp or something on another PC, or burn it to CD and play on discman, while using SF to record, and then mixing files, right?

much thankS

Your second paragraph is pretty much the only way to do this with Sound Forge, similar to the old sound-on-sound technique bouncing left & right channels back and forth on a tape recorder. You can play the previously recorded stuff in WinAmp or MediaPlayer on the same computer while recording it and the new material mixed together in Sound Forge.

A much better choice is to use a multitrack application like Vegas.
