Is there a list of 24bit loops, I know the laswell collection has one CD. How many people set up ACID for 24 bit 96kHz? |

I work with 24-bit all the time, just to obtain its processing headroom (which is much better than 16-bit). I usually work 24-bit/44.1 kHz just to match my guitar effects processor when recording via S/PDIF. (The Covert Diaspora collection is at this bit-depth and sample rate.) Working with 96 kHz could be overkill (there's that whole Nyquist Frequency thing), but it does match its analog counterpart more closely, so it's just a matter of personal taste (and if your system can handle the processing load). So if you are only using prerecorded 16bit loops and some vsti's (no audio recording) is there any benefit to setting up your project at 24/44.1? thanks, |

Sure. If the VSTi you're using does 24-bit processing, then your track(s) could benefit from it, as MIDI is just a set of instructions that eventually becomes digital audio as a result of the VSTi. HTH, Iacobus ------- RodelWorks - Original Music for the Unafraid mD's ACIDplanet Page |
